Business Women Excellence Awards 2016
Sussex Edition winner Nikki Gatenby and her company Propellernet said “Picking up two awards on the night was an unexpected delight; Propellernet for Large Business of the Year and me for Digital Woman of the Year 2016 was overwhelming and just amazing. It was inspiring to see the wide range of female led businesses in the room and feel the entrepreneurial spirit amongst my heroes and peers. You rarely take a moment to stop and look back over what you’ve achieved and these awards gave the chance to do exactly that.
When leading a company, we all aim to be strong role models. I have the responsibility to create an atmosphere in my business in which dedicated, creative, innovative mavericks can do impactful work. The success of Propellernet is down to an energised and motivated team of both men and women who embrace innovation, challenge and a healthy dose of risk. There is no roadmap, no blueprint, no sheet music for this – we are crafting our own path and creating our adventure as we go. To be recognised as doing this well, leading from the front, championing gender equality and creating positive change in the world, has left a lasting impression on us all. I’m looking forward to future Business Women Excellence Awards editions and to celebrating more heroes, donning their capes for the night, being rewarded for their amazing achievements”.
